Wall Street China Contributes to Earthquake Relief Efforts
May 20, 2008
As a company that is dedicated to helping improve the lives of Chinese citizens through English language education, Wall Street Institute is deeply concerned and saddened by the level of devastation and human suffering caused by the recent earthquake in the Sichuan Province of China. Wall Street China is reaching out to help those in need in the affected areas, and has made a donation of 1,250,000 RMB ($180,000 USD) to the China Association for Poverty Alleviation, the primary agency coordinating relief efforts in China. The donation includes 250,000 RMB ($35,000 USD) contributed directly by the hardworking employees of Wall Street China. These funds will go towards providing basic services for the citizens of the Sichuan Province as they begin to rebuild their lives after this terrible tragedy.
Wall Street Institute International commends Wall Street China for their generosity and willingness to help those in need during this very difficult time for their country. Our thoughts are with the Chinese people as they begin the recovery process.
